CFAM 2500 INTEGRATED ARTS FOR THE CLASSROOM TEACHER (1 credit)
CFAM 2500 provides students with an introduction to the theories and practices of arts integration. The course begins with an overview of art and music education for classrooms, grades PK-6. Students study foundational concepts in educational theory and learn how to apply those theoretical ideas through art and music. Finally, students learn to use the tools of "arts integration" to apply art and music techniques to curriculum in other subject areas (such as math, social studies, science, English, etc.) in ways that are developmentally appropriate for grades PK-6.
