JMC 2100  MEDIA WRITING (3 credits)

This class will teach students to gather information and write for all areas of mass communication, including print, broadcast, online media, public relations and advertising.

Journalism and Media Communication Minor

Students may earn a minor in Journalism and Media Communication with courses selected from JMC offerings.  To fulfill the minor, s tudents must complete 18 hours in JMC offerings with 9 of th ose credit hours in JMC 1500 , JMC 2100 , and JMC 2200  and 9 credits of chosen courses at the 3000 or 4000 level. All courses in the minor must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.  

Public Relations and Advertising (PR/Ad) Minor

Students may earn a minor in Public Relations and Advertising (PR/Ad) with courses selected from JMC's PR/Ad Concentration offerings. To fulfill the minor, students must complete 18 hours with 12 of those credit hours in JMC 2100, JMC 2500, JMC 3230, and JMC 3620 and 6 credits at the 2000 or higher level of PR/Ad Concentration courses (with 3 of those credits at the 4000 level). All courses in the minor must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
