TED 2410  FOUNDATIONS OF PLANNING FOR EFFECTIVE TEACHING (3 credits)

The course provides an initial overview of lesson planning through an introduction to the concepts of standards, objectives, anticipatory sets, instructional strategies, assessments, and closure. The course also introduces topics and issues essential to teachers' ability to plan for effective teaching including culturally responsive teaching practices and strategies for serving Multilingual Learners, students with disabilities, and students who live in poverty or other difficult circumstances.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisites: TED 2100 & TED 2200 or TED 2060. Not open to non-degree graduate students.
