TED 8110 EDUCATIVE MENTORING IN EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS (3 credits)
The purpose of this course is to develop candidates' knowledge of educative mentoring, or mentoring that leads to teacher growth. Candidates will develop their knowledge through reading seminal and current work in the field and comparing the published work to their own experiences through writing and discussion. The course will culminate in candidates designing, implementing, and reflecting on an educative mentoring plan in their context that could be used with beginning teachers or pre-service teacher candidates.
