Chicano/Latino Studies Minor
Chicano(a)/Latino(a) Studies Minor Requirements
The OLLAS minor is a perfect complement to a wide variety of majors across campus, such as Public Health, Medical Humanities, Business and Finance, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Journalism, Education, and Fine Arts, among others, where the work of the discipline intersects with the growing presence and importance of Latinos (Mexicanos, Chicanos, Central Americans, and South Americans) in the United States and our local communities.
Residency requirement: No student may transfer into the minor more than 6 credits. Students must complete at least 12 of the 18 credit hours at UNO.

LLS approved courses:
An additional 15 hours of LLS approved courses from the list below. A maximum of 9 of the 15 hours may be taken from a single department. At least 12 of the 15 credit hours must be taken at the 3000 or 4000 level. Other courses relating to Latinos or Latin America may be accepted as LLS courses if approved by the OLLAS Director. All coursework taken for the CLS minor must be completed with a grade of "C-" or better.
At least four 3-credit (LLS) Latino/Latin American Studies courses need to be from List A Latina/o Studies and no more than one 3-credit (LLS) Latino/Latin American Studies courses from List B Latin American Studies. No more than three courses can be from the same discipline.
