ITAL 1110  ELEMENTARY ITALIAN I (3 credits)

Elementary Italian I emphasizes the mastery of all language skills, i.e, speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and introduces cultural topics that inform the use of language in authentic contexts.

ITAL 1120  ELEMENTARY ITALIAN II (3 credits)

Elementary Italian II builds on the skills gained in ITAL 1110 and emphasizes the mastery of all language skills, i.e, speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and continues discussions on cultural topics that inform the use of language in authentic contexts.

Prerequisite(s): ITAL 1110; permission from the instructor

ITAL 2100  CONVERSATIONAL ITALIAN (3 credits)

Conversational Italian is designed for students seeking to develop basic knowledge of Italian with an emphasis on practical communication skills for everyday situations. Through a communicative approach to language learning, the course immerses students in the Italian language with the goal of developing linguistic skills informed by Italian social norms and culture.
